The PVC Information Council Denmark exhibiting at the Danmiljø 2002

From the 9–11 April the PVC Information Council Denmark attended as exhibitors at the tenth Environment and Process Technology fair, DanMiljø 2002, in Herning, Denmark. It was for the first time ever that a big number of Danish PVC converters stood forward with a common information stand at an environment fair.
The participation can be described only as a success. Representatives from many local authorities, the National Institute of Occupational Health Denmark, the Occupational Health Service Centre, universities, schools, industry, journalists, politicians, consultants etc visited our stand. We established many contacts both during the fair and during the preparations of the event.
Most important was, however, that we did not experience any hostility or criticism from our visitors, only a true interest in the material and especially in the waste management of it.
The PVC Information Council Denmark’s stand at the Danmiljø 2002 was designed by the architects Kaare Sølvsten and Erich Weitling of Århus. All the stand constructions and all the stand equipments, from the floor to the roof, were designed and made from PVC.
The construction of the stand itself was made and donated by Kibæk Presenning A/S, who has also been in charge of the erection. The waterpenetrable and fireresistant, white PVC-textile sundew, ballooning over the stand was donated by the French company Ferrari Textiles. The blue PVC-textile, which covered the tall tower, was donated by Duratex A/S. The 32 squaremeter PVC-floor was donated by Tarkett-Sommer.Totax Plastic A/S was the donator and constructor of the brochure containers covered with Duratex-PVC-textiles. The black drinkingwater pipes on the stand and the low-material consuming green and black corrugated PVC wastewater pipes, which displayed the member company products, were donated by the pipeproducer Uponor A/S.
Besides the above mentioned companies the following member companies have contributed to make the PVC-event become possible:
Protan A/S, Primo Danmark A/S, Norsk Hydro Danmark A.S., The European Council of Vinyl Manufactureres, Nordisk Wavin A/S, Carmo, Plastmo A/S, Maers Medical A/S, Dan-Hill-Plast A/S, KWH Plast A/S, Shin-Etsu PVC B.V., Watech A/S, Stigsnæs Industrimiljø A/S and WUPPI A/S.
