![]() The Passage is favourable for the PVC trade, the PVC Information Council Denmark says 26-02-2004 On Thursday 26 February the bill to remove taxation on rigid PVC had its third reading in the Danish Parliament. A majority in the Danish Parliament decided to abolish the taxation. There were 60 MP’s in favour of the bill. 48 against. 71 MP’s were not present. The parties in favour were the governmental parties (the Liberals and the Conservatives) along with the Danish People’s Party. Against were the Social Democratic Party, the Socialist People’s Party, the Unity List/The Red-Green Alliance, the Christian People’s Party and the Social Liberal Party. “It is very favourable for the Danish PVC trade that the bill is now finally passed”, Ole Grøndahl Hansen, director of the PVC Information Council, says. “We have now a situation where the majority of the PVC products are not subject to taxation. The passage in the Danish Parliament today should mean a promotion in the marketing of rigid PVC products”. ![]() Join our news alert list by sending us an e-mail to pvc@pvc.dk - marked "News" |
